Hello,
I'm so glad you're here! I wear a lot of hats these days—wife, mom of three, teacher, mentor, and photographer—and I truly love every one of them.
I grew up in Hawthorn Woods, just north of Long Grove, where my siblings and I spent our days fishing, swimming, and exploring the woods behind our home. Those experiences gave me an appreciation for genuine moments, meaningful connections, and the beauty found in everyday life—qualities that continue to inspire my photography today.
My background is in art therapy, fine arts, and psychology, and after spending five years working in social services, I returned to school to become a teacher. As I begin my 25th year of teaching, one thing has remained constant throughout every chapter of my life: my passion for working with children and families. Photography allows me to combine my creativity with my love of people, and I truly can't imagine doing anything else.
If you've looked through my portfolio, you've probably noticed that I'm drawn to rich, vibrant colors and beautiful contrast. While I appreciate light and airy photography, my heart has always been in creating timeless images with depth, warmth, and emotion.
Every session is unique. Before I ever press the shutter, I'm taking in the light, the location, the little details, and most importantly, the people in front of my camera. My goal isn't to create images that simply reflect my style—it's to tell your story in a way that feels authentic to you.
Whether your session is full of laughter, quiet snuggles, playful chaos, or joyful celebration, I want your gallery to capture exactly what this season of life feels like.
Families often tell me they appreciate my calm, relaxed approach. I know getting everyone dressed, out the door, and smiling at the same time can feel like an accomplishment before we even begin! My sessions are designed to be fun, stress-free, and full of genuine moments rather than forced smiles.
Behind the scenes, however, I run my business with the same professionalism and dedication that I bring to teaching. From clear communication to timely delivery, I'm committed to providing beautiful images and an exceptional experience from beginning to end.
I'd be honored to tell your family's story, and I hope we have the chance to meet soon.
